The property was fairly clean with informative staff. Though the bed was very uncomfortable, it was fantastic stay. The location offered was marvellous and amazing close enough to the bay and the Queen-Charlotte track, and the forest. The main bar was comfortable.
Well, Wi-Fi was low.

The Guest Wing at Anakiwa 401 was an absolute karaoke and casino lover's dream! The spacious and modern 2-bedroom self-catering accommodation had everything we needed for a fun-filled stay. As someone who enjoys cooking, the fully equipped kitchen was a major plus for me. And let's not forget the open-plan living area, perfect for singing our hearts out to our favorite tunes!
Personally, I found the lack of a balcony or sea view in The Bay View Apartment a bit disappointing. But hey, that's just my preference.

The highlight of our stay was definitely the owner-guided tour to see the glow worms and bioluminescence at the end of the jetty. It was such a unique and magical experience. The owners, Shayne and Tanya, were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The accommodation itself was clean, well-equipped, and in a beautiful area away from the crowds. We also loved the fact that it was right on the waterfront and on the Queen Charlotte Track. we had a fantastic time at this very special place.

The Guest Wing at Anakiwa 401 is a spacious and beautifully furnished accommodation that makes you feel right at home. The modern bathrooms and well-equipped kitchen have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The sea view from The Old Verandah is perfect for relaxing with a drink after a long day of exploring.
Personally, I found the sea view from The Old Verandah a bit obstructed. However, I understand that others might still enjoy the balcony and the view it offers.

The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful, providing insider tips on nearby attractions, such as the glow worms and bioluminescence at the end of the jetty. There was limited wifi in the rooms, but plenty available in the communal living room.

The location was stunning with great views of the bay and the surrounding hills. The self-catered accommodation was very comfortable and well-equipped, including an espresso machine for coffee lovers. We loved the peacefulness of the area, with access to the nearby walking tracks and swimming off the jetty.
The lack of nearby dining options and groceries, necessitating a longer drive for those necessities. some of the lighting in the room was not ideal for reading.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
